Jamie Comeau & the Crooked Teeth entered the New Brunswick music scene with fury and fervour in 2017. Originally bolstered by frontman Comeau’s compelling approach to songwriting and storytelling, fellow bandmates Nick LeBlanc, Drake Adams, and Chris Sanford brought new life, cohesion, and renewed energy to Jamie’s live performances. Shortly after the band officially formed, they received the Stingray Rising Star award at the 2017 iteration of Fredericton’s Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival. The band swiftly developed a solid reputation as a captivating live act and became a festival mainstay throughout the province of New Brunswick. Since the band’s formation, they’ve performed alongside Interpol, Matthew Good, Wintersleep, Paper Lions, Matt Mays, among many others.
Since the album’s release, Jamie Comeau & the Crooked Teeth have continued to captivate audiences province-wide. Their stage presence and dedication to providing the best possible live concert experience for fans has never wavered in its electricity and authenticity. In 2020, they took home the Prix MNB Awards including Recording of the Year, Live Act of the Year, and Fan’s Choice.
Recently, the band has expanded their repertoire by incorporating new elements into their creative process. In exploring different genres and creating music reflective of all band members’ areas of interest and individual strengths, the band is officially entering a new chapter, ready and properly equipped to integrate fresh sounds into their beloved live performances.
