Ian Janes is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer living in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Janes’ latest release Yes Man was given 4 out of 5 possible stars by Rolling Stone France, nominated for four 2017 Music Nova Scotia awards, nominated for ‘Pop Recording of the Year’ at the 2018 East Coast Music Awards and Ian was one of 9 national finalists for Sirius XM’s ‘Top Of The Country’ competition. 

In March of 2017, CMT’s “Nashville” closed it’s ‘mid-season finale’ with Ian’s song “Can’t Remember Never Loving You” as performed by the show’s two stars, Charles ‘Deacon’ Esten and Connie ‘Rayna” Britton. The song was co-written with veteran Nashville songwriter Byron Hill (George Straight, George Jones, Ray Charles). Between the soundtrack version and Ian’s own version (released January 2018), the song has been streamed over 650,000 times on Spotify alone. 

Ian spends a couple of months a year between Nashville and Los Angeles writing music and performing. In September 2018, Ian performed for the first time at Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Cafe and in February 2019 at The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles. 

Janes will be releasing new music beginning in fall 2019.
