Matt Andersen, Earle & Coffin coming to Perth-Andover

Larlee Creek Hullabaloo is excited to present Matt Andersen and special guest Earle & Coffin in concert on November 22 in Perth-Andover. The concert will be held at the Andover Elementary School gym at 7pm, with proceeds from the show going towards Larlee Creek Hullabaloo children and youth programming, including the Hullabaloo Summer Music Camp.

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Matt Andersen is a powerhouse performer with a giant soul-filled voice and commanding stage presence, Matt has built a formidable following the old fashioned way – touring worldwide and letting the converted audiences and Andersen devotees spread his reputation through word of mouth.

A Perth-Andover native himself, Matt has been supporting the Larlee Creek Hullabaloo since its inaugural year over a decade ago. After sharing his music globally, he is thrilled to be returning to his hometown and supporting music programs for local youth. “Cultivating musical talent in youth is such an important initiative, and one that is unfortunately lacking in rural New Brunswick. That’s why the Larlee Creek Hullabaloo music programs are such a vital community resource–they provide an artistic outlet for children and an opportunity to jumpstart their musical interests.”

Larlee Creek Hullabaloo, which holds its eponymous music festival every August in Perth-Andover, is a huge proponent for supporting arts in the community. “Since our inaugural year, we’ve found opportunities to include and support children and youth in our festival and within the community,” says Artistic Director Heidi Baird. “In 2017 we introduced a multi-day summer music camp for children between the ages of 9-16. In 2018, 20 youth worked with 3 professional artists over 4 days, where they learned about music, performance, and ultimately formed bands which performed live on our festival main-stage at the conclusion of their camp.”

Matt will be joined by Newfoundland blues duo Earle and Coffin, who are hot off touring festivals and showcases throughout Canada and the US, including showcasing at the Folk Alliance International Conference in Kansas City, MO. The show will also feature special performances by local youth musicians throughout the night.
